Woola wins LVMH Innovation Award in the “Sustainability & Greentech” category

The leading luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has announced the winners for the 7th edition of the LVMH Innovation Award. More than 1,300 startups from 75 countries were vying for this year’s award, with over 250 in the Sustainability & Greentech category.

Eighteen finalists proposing solutions with the potential to shape the future of luxury were shortlisted and showcased in the “Dream Box”, LVMH’s pavilion during VivaTech. They competed in six distinct categories: Employee Experience, Diversity & Inclusion, Image & Media for Brand Desirability, Immersive Digital Experiences, Omnichannel & Retail, Operations Excellence, and Sustainability & Greentech.

Woola was announced as the “Sustainability & Greentech” category winner of the 2023 LVMH Innovation Award.

Since 2017, the LVMH Innovation Award puts the spotlight on the most promising startups globally. This year’s awards saw a total of 1320 applications. The awards were given out across six categories, with three finalists in each category.

“We are thrilled to be recognised as a Sustainability & Greentech category winner of the LVMH Innovation Award.” said Anna-Liisa Palatu, the CEO and co-founder of Woola.

“The plastics industry is broken for two reasons: dependency on fossil fuels and single use mindset. Replacing plastic is a tough fight since we are new in the market. This recognition from LVMH lends us the trust we need to reach more companies. This is highly valuable to us.”
