Supporters of Woola
Woola is backed by investors and grants
Changing an entire industry is no easy feat. We are glad to have the support of several investors (including funds like Future Ventures and Metaplanet) as well as grant financing.

Co-funded by the European Union
In 2024, Woola received a grant from the Agricultural Registers and Information Board of the Republic of Estonia to purchase a forklift, a compressor, and new shelving for our factory.
Here’s how the grant financing is helping us replace more plastic bubble wrap with wool packaging:
The new compressor reduced noise levels in the factory, improving the work environment and keeping our employees healthy. In addition, a proper compressor ensures a stable and problem-free air supply to the pneumatic lines.
The new shelving helps us use our factory space more efficiently. It has also led to a faster and safer production process by feeding raw material more efficiently to the production line.
The new forklift will help speed up the production process, as it will replace manual labor. Additionally, it will help us use factory space more efficiently, as we will be able to stack more materials.
This project is co-funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
In 2025, Woola received funding from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) for developing a new wool-based material.
We’re using this support to turn local wool — which would otherwise go to waste — into a cleaner, dust-free and higher-quality material. This includes testing, experimenting and building prototypes to understand and improve the material’s performance.
The goal is to create a natural alternative to plastic packaging and make better use of local renewable resources. By the end of the project, we expect to have an improved wool material that opens the door to new product possibilities.
The total support granted is €7,500.
Supporting sustainable business transformation
In 2025, Woola received support from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) to strengthen its sustainability practices.
With this grant, Woola is carrying out an independent sustainability audit and creating a clear roadmap to guide future development. The project also includes a climate impact assessment, helping the company identify key priorities, set measurable goals, and focus resources on the initiatives that can make the greatest difference.
The result will be a clear, independent assessment of Woola’s sustainability performance, a structured roadmap for development, and measurable indicators that enhance reporting and allow progress to be tracked with transparency and confidence.
The total support granted is €1,500.
